After two great weeks of doing our Tuesday pick-up at Jackson’s Corner, we are yet again shifting to a new spot. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and ask humbly for your patience as we figure out our next long-term solution for the AC venue.

For the month of September, The Environmental Center in downtown Bend has graciously agreed to host us. Please come to The Environmental Center for all September hand-outs on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:30 p.m. @ 16 NW Kansas Ave.

We will be doing our handout at Jackson’s Corner this TUESDAY 8/24 and from here on out in the courtyard to the east of the restaurant.  We are allowed to have members park in the Mountain Supply (who are quite gracious to let us do this) parking lot just to the South of Jackson’s Corner.  Parking is also available on all of the side streets; Typically there is plenty of parking one block southwest of Jackson’s Corner on Carlon Ave. and scattered spots along Broadway, Delaware, and Florida. 

The produce is a bit stubborn this year but that’s what happens when the weather plays tricks on us.  When a true 100 mile fully organic diet is being utilized there are always trade-offs.  First, the peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears from Kimberly Orchards are all a good 4 weeks behind schedule.  So, the necatarines will hopefully be here for the 8/31 handout with peaches available the following week and pears and apples following suit.  Roma tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers, watermelon, and cantaloupe will also be making appearances when they all ripen up in the next few weeks in the produce shares and as side items.
